“A Place of Grace” center helps patients and their families by offering cutting edge integrative therapies, counseling, and love to people affected by autism and other neurological disorders
Irvine, CA – March 29, 2008 – The California Integrative Hyperbaric Center celebrates its first anniversary with tours, fun, and gluten-casein free food for interested parties. This second ‘ A Place of Grace’ center, located in California, has had a fantastic inaugural year serving patients and their families from all over the world and plans to show why it’s not only an uniquely designed, state-of-the-art treatment facility, but also a very successful one. Over the last year, thousands of patients have been welcomed and have experienced the benefits of these life-changing therapies.
As one enters the facility, each room has a healthy spirit in mind…from the Nutritional Kitchen, which offers cooking classes, samplings, and support for those on a ’Gluten-Casein Free diet’, in addition to education about other nutritional needs, to the Play Room where patients can engage in all elements of social play in a bright colorful room filled with learning toys and books to explore. One can then move to the Occupational Therapy room which has large therapy balls and a Therasuite to learn balance and body control, and other occupational equipment for developmental training, then to the Speech Therapy room, which has been playfully decorated to resemble a jungle, encouraging patients to interact in the reading area and ignite communication and innovative play. The highlight of the tour will most likely be the Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) room which houses Hyperbaric hard and soft form chambers for treatment in Autism, Cerebral Palsy(CP), Lyme disease, Multiple Sclerosis, and many other debilitating neurological diseases. New for this year, Intensive Suit Therapy, PT/OT treatment regimes, and Sensory learning programs have been added as well as we are serving Autism, CP and Traumatic Brain Injury.
Although advanced centers such as CIHC are normally “exclusive,” this one is different. The center strongly believes in equal treatment availability for all patients; for example, it is currently working with Talk About Curing Autism (TACA) to provide TACA dollars for families who require HBOT. Consequently, no one needs to allow cost to keep them from finding out more. During the event, guests can mingle with staff and find out the facts while having a good time learning about Hyperbaric and the other treatment therapies offered in this unique and innovative center so “come one, come all!”
